An off the normal pace with a local owned and run Burger shop. Not commercial burgers but real hamburger patties cooked to order with awesome perfection ! With that in mind, it is a popular restaurant with locals and tourists but be patient as good food takes a moment to cook. There is plenty of seating inside and for those that enjoy covered outdoor seating well they have it in abundance.
Food is excellent & cooked on order. Food portions are very large & quality. The burger is charred perfectly with a nice crispness & bun perfectly soft. Nice large outdoor space to enjoy the ocean breeze. Nice parking area BUT not for a camper or RV. All were working on task & very VERY efficient with their time. EXCELLENT JOB!!!! Wishing you much MUCH success. You can tell you have thought of everything!! Even down to the amazing pellet ice!!! Makes this teacher heart happy to see young people thriving and doing an excellent job.
Great little burger joint on Pleasure Island. Dad said they were the best burgers to him. The burgers themselves are absolutely huge. I didn't like the seasoned fries but everyone else in my family did (just a personal preference, I suppose). Since it's fairly new, it was super packed even at 2pm, and parking and seating were hard to find. Otherwise we very much enjoyed the food and will go back. Wish they would open a spot in Kure Beach! My only complaint is it is a wee pricey.
We were quoted 45 minute wait but was ready within 25 minutes. We ordered single bacon cheeseburgers with a side of onion rings to share. Food was plenty and delicious. I wish they offered a smaller burger for my 6 year old but we just gave him half and saved the rest for another day. Good service and food.
So good! The bacon changed my life today. This family owned restaurant is fantastic. From the fries to the candied bacon and the burgers to the buns...we couldn’t get a picture before half the food was as gone. We also love supporting a locally owned establishment. This is the place to get a burger at Carolina Beach.
Overall pretty decent hole in the wall resturaunt. Burgers are (mostly) made to order, doesn't take more than 15 minutes for food, and burgers are made fresh, right in front of you. Tasted pretty good, nothing wrong with our order. 5/5 would reccomend. (note that there IS a lunch rush. So it does get busy.)
If you haven't checked them out yet what are you waiting for??? We love Island Burgers and so glad they've expanded into a place of their own. So proud of them and to be a long time customer since the gas station, we are visitors from Raleigh but this is our favorite spot and had to check them out today when we arrived on the island for a long jeep beach weekend. We were very impressed with their decor and renovation of the Hardee's and the large outdoor seating area was well done. We love their smash burgers and I ordered extra extra pickles and wasn't disappointed. You are going to order and wait, and it's worth it. It was 34 for 2 burgers, a large fry to share and drink. They do serve beer as well no shakes or ice cream go to Celtic creamery or Squigleys for that. But for the best burgers, cheese steaks or hot dogs this is your spot - Go and Enjoy!!
Great burgers & fries! Our grands loved the chicken tenders too! The hot dog was definitely great as well. The chili and slaw were both so good on the hotdog. I love that they serve coke products as well. We got there right at opening. It gets busy quickly. Service was great. We will definitely go back!
